Behavioral Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

This method relies primarily on the breakdown of tasks – even complex, abstract tasks such as communicative language – into a series of hierarchical steps, each step preparing the way for the next. The parents and I work as a team to create a structured and consistent learning environment and the child is rewarded for the mastery of each small step.
They learn to focus their attention and to concentrate more effectively, and thus to learn more easily. Once simple skills like table readiness, imitation, attention, and others are learned in this matter, they can be combined into more complex skills like language, play, and social interaction.
